A letter from our founder:
For as long as I’ve worked around boats, I’ve had huge respect for the skill and dedication of marine surveyors. This is a profession built on expertise, judgement, and an eye for detail, the kind of work that simply can’t be automated or rushed. But over the years, I noticed something that every surveyor quietly puts up with: far too much time is lost to admin, repetitive tasks, and outdated systems that haven’t kept up with the demands of modern surveying.
I spoke to surveyors who were spending evenings typing notes, reformatting reports, hunting for vessel histories, and trying to stay on top of clients and bookings across spreadsheets, emails, and paper files. None of this work added value. None of it improved safety. And none of it reflected the true skill surveyors bring to the marine industry.
That’s why I built evalo™.
My goal wasn’t to replace expertise – it was to support it. To create tools that remove friction, reduce admin, and give surveyors more time to focus on what they do best: inspecting vessels and delivering clear, professional insight.
